WELLINGTON COMPETITIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the competitions, championship winners were: Piano, Miss E. Woodfield (Palmerston North); elocution (ladies), Miss Mary Cooley (Wellington), gentlemen, Mr. Barton Ginger (Lower Hutt) ; ladies’ vocal, Miss Respeth Denham (Oamaru), who also won several special prizes; men’s vocal, Mr. Claude Moss (Wellington) ; chief piano solo, Mr. Ginger Mackay (Wellington); choir shield, Edgeware Road (Christchurch) Methodist.
