I INCIDENT ON LAUNCH TRIP. GIRL MOTHER DISCHARGED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. As a sequel to a birth or a launch on August 6. Cecil Nathaniel Williams, who at the inquest admitted paternity, pleaded not guilty at the Police Court to the charge of unlawfully carnally knowing a girl aged 15 years and 7 months, and was committed for trial. The mother of the child, who was married to Williams subsequent to the occurrence, was charged with having, by failure to perform or observe a legal duty, caused the death of the infant. The magistrate dismissed ths case, saying that he did not think any jury would convict.
