POWER SCHEME AUTHORISED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, Last Night. A poll was taken to-day by the Dannevirke Electric Power Board on a proposal to borrow £175,000 for the reticulation of the district for the supply of hydro-electric power and other purposes in connection with the scheme. The proposal was carried by 651 votes to 93. the informal votes being 5. The poll was a very small one. A threefifths majority was required.
