WANGANUI TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui. Last Night. There was glorious weather for the second day of the Wanganui Golf Club’s championship meeting. Splendid golf was witnessed in the first and second rounds of the club’s amateur championship, several matches being won on the last hole, while Dr. Williams (Wanganui) and H. B. Lusk (Auckland) went to the twenty-second hole, when the Aucklander won. The scores in the professional match were: Brooks and Ham 159, Clements and Shaw 161, Moss 162, Blair 165. The results of to-day’s play arc as follow: First Round.—S. Morpeth beat J. Harrison. 6 and 4: G. Saunders beat W. O’CaUaghan, I up; C. A. Seymour beat A. D. Woon, 5 and A: G. Harold beat G. Quin, 1 up: H. B. Lusk beat L. Quin, 4 and 3: Dr. Williams beat S. Powdrell, 6 and 5: E. Knight beat G. C. Templar, 2 and 1: J. C. Bidwell beat J. Goss, 2 up. Second Round.—G. Saunders beat W. Morpeth. 1 up: C. A. Seymour beat G. Harold. 5 and 4: H. B. Lusk beat Dr. Williams, 1 up; E. Knight beat J. C. Bidwell, 1 up. Professional Match.—Brooks 159, Ham 159, Clements 161, Shaw 161.
