STRIKES OF ‘ PRINTERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 5, 12.15 a.m. Hobart, September 4. The Mercury printers have resumed work pending a conference to settle certain points in dispute upon which no agreement has yet been reached. Perth, Sept. 4. The printing strike remains unsettled, and no papers are publishing. AUSTRALIAN POET’S FUNERAL. Received Sept. 5, 12.15 a.m. Sydney, Sept. 4. The late Mr. Henry Lawson was given a State funeral, which was largely attended, those present including the Prime Minister and representatives of the Federal and State Parliaments. The interment took place at Waverley, in the grave where Kendall was originally buried.
