STRIKE IN AMERICA.
EIGHT DEATHS IN FIRE. SEVERAL OTHERS INJURED. Received September 4, 5.5 p.m. New York, Sept. 3. Pittsburg messages state a fire, which is believed to be of incendiary origin, resulted in the death of eight strikebreakers and serious injury tc eleven others. The fire destroyed a large building belonging to the Pennsylvania railroad.
COAL STRIKE OVER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, Sept. 2. Philadelphia reports that the coal strike is over, the anthracite operators and the miners having agreed to resume mining at the old wage scale, which has been extended to August 31, 1923.
