A SOCIALIST CITY COUNCIL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rome, August 31. The Mayor and councillors of Milan have been deposed from office by Royal decree. The report, declares that they carried out a political programme detrimental to the city’s interests, indulged in lavish expenditure by socialising amusements, schools, dispensaries, and other functions, whilst neglecting real improvements and public utilities. Notwithstanding increased rates the municipal budget showed a deficit of 300 million lire. The Fa'scisti were therefore justified in taking ovei the administration.
