Hides.—There was general bidding and keen values for all good-conditioned parcels, but heavy, sheety hides declined a farthing to a halfpenny per lb. Other weights were firm. COMMERCIAL LONDON MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., have Deceived the following cablegram from their London house under date 30th instant: Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, 41/3 per cwt.; good beef, 38/9; mixed, 34/6. Market quiet. New Zealand Frozen Meat.—Lamb, 10%d per Lb: mutton, wether and maiden ewe—light t 5-8 d per lb, heavy 5 5-8 d per lb; ewe—light 4 7-8 d per lb, heavy 4 5-8 d per lb. Market firm. Beef—ox, hinds 4 5-8 d per lb, fores 3d; cow—hinds 3%d per lb, fores T%d. THE PIG MARKET. There was a good penning of pigs at Newton King, Ltd.’s New Plymouth Haymarket yesterday. Good weaners made 20s, slips (good) 295, rough unconditioned* stores 17s, good 23s to 255, large 33s to 365.’
