The Employees of three flour mills have received notice of dismissal, the millers explaining that they were unable to compete against the Victorian mills, which are able to obtain wheat cheaper than in New South Wales. NORTH SYDNEY SEAT. Sydney, August 31. The campaign secretary to one of the National canadidates for the new North Sydnej’ seat has announced the receipt of a telegram from Mr. Hughes, stating that he was a candidate and was coming to Sydney on Sunday, probably to definitely state his intentions. t Melbourne, August 31. Mr. Hughes declined to say whether he was contesting the North Sydney seat. He stated: “They will say I am contesting Brisbane next.”
