r LONG ADDRESS BEGINS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. What promises to be a record-break-ing address has been commenced in the Arbitration Court by Mr. W. T. Young, representing the Seamen’s Federation. It is anticipated that the address will last for fully two more days, and i + ill include a comprehensive review o. he present conditions of the work of seamen and firemen on Dominion and intercolonial vessels, a statement of the earnings of the men, and the disabilities under which it is alleged they at present labor, concluding with a detailed analysis of the claims of the ship-owners and the counter-claims of the men, and of the evidence given in support of the ship-owners’ case.
