LADIES’ TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph.—Pr ot :K Association. Napier. August 31. The ladles’ hockey tournament was continued in fine weather. Hawke's Bay A beat Wairarapa by 3 to 0. Wellington beat Southland by 4 to 0. MANAWATU v. HAWKE’S BAY. Palmerston N., August 31. Advice received from the secretary of the Manawatu Hockey Association states that the Hawke’s Bay challenge for the New Zealand hockey shield Is not in order, therefore the match against Manawatu on Saturday will not be for the shield.
