TO-MORROW’S TOURNAMENT. THE AMATEUR BOUTS. The match committee of th? Taranaki Boxing Association met last evening, when the final selection of the amateurs to take part in the tournament to-morrow night was imade. In the fly-weights N. Milne (New Plymouth) will meet Scott (Moturoa) ; In the bantamweight A. Brooking (Stratford) will meet Chas. Anderson (New Plymouth) ; in the heavy-weight division E. Webber (New Plymouth) will meet Thomas (Matapn) ; in the light-weight R. Milne (NeW Plymouth) will meet W. G. Coates (Omata) ; in the welterweight H. Pearce (Mangatoki) will meet V. Laurent (Waitara) ; and in the cru’serweight Allan Turner (Waitara) will meet Ron Brcmuhl (New Plymouth). With such good material the public can rest assured of a real exciting evening’s entertainment. The professional contest, should be an excellent bout, as both are clever, fast boxers. Whittome arrived in New Plymouth last night, and is in the pink of condition, while Cann is also fit and extremely well.
