THE STOCK MARKET. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The following prices were received at Westfield to-day : Beef.—A large yarding, with a good demand, which improved as the sale went on ; extra choice ox 24s per 1001 b., choice and prime Improved in value 20s to 235. plain and unfinished Jss to 18s. Young cow and heifer beef was In steady demand; choice prime 20s per 1001bs., prime 17s to 19s, unfinished 13s to 15s. Calves.—Very few vealers were yarded; runners to £4 7s 6d, extra choice vealers £5, good vealers to £4, young and fresh dropped 6s to 10s. Sheep.—A small yarding met with a ready sale;, extra prime heavy wethers 355, prime heavy 335, medium prime 29s 9d to 31s, light prime to 27s 6d. plain and unfinished £1 2s to £1 4s. Ewes.—No extra heavy were yarded; heavy prime 265, medium fat ewes 24s 9d, unfinished £1 to 235. Lambs.—A small yarding and a. very keen demand at advanced rates: heavy hoggets 295, medium 25s to 26s 6d, others £ 1 to 245. Pigs.—Good porkers £2 17s to £3 ss, others £2 10s to £2 16s, stores and slips to 30s, extra good weaners to 22s 6d, medium 16s to £l, others 10s to 15s.
