Potatoes.—The past few days have evolved inquiry from the north, confined almost exclusively to whites, which are worth fully 5a to 7s Cd per ton more than russets. A good deal of the Inquiry is from the middle part of tlie island. The Katoa, which is leaving on Thursday, is understood to be taking tho equivalent of a week’s supply. Farmers, so far, are offering very little, and quotations are about £4 10s at country stations. Cocksfoot is very depressed in face of Danish offers, the equivalent of which at country stations is about 4%d per lb. There is a good deal of retail business In ryegrass, but the wholesale market is very quiet. Cowgrass is meeting with little buslFowl feed Is moving to a very moderate extent at about 3s lOd to 4s f.o.b.
