PROTEST AGAINST BORROWING. By Telegraph.—Press Assn .—Copyright. . Palmerston N., August 28. Loan proposals, amounting to £15,000, for sports facilities, municipal office extensions and roading, were defeated by 975 votes to 486. Great interest was taken in the result, which may be regarded as a protest against further borrowing.
