It is expected the marriage will be celebrated during the next few months. It is pointed out that this is not the lady to whom the ex-Kaiser was previously reported to be engaged. WIRELESS BREAKDOWN, Delhi, August 29. For fifteen days telegraphic communi- , cation with Kabul was stopped owing the wireless breakdown. It is most un-. fortunate that, owing to the absence of a land line the British misoion is isolated. THE NEAR EAST. Constantinople, August 27. It is reported that the Kemaliste have started an offensive at Roumkeuv. The Bulgarian mission has arrived at Imebolare. It is believed they will shortly sign a military treaty with the Kemalists, giving Bulgaria an outlet to the Aegean. SOVIET AND INHERITANCES. Copenhagen, August 26. The Soviet Government is issuing a decree fixing the maximum inheritances under will at 10,000 gold roubles, the remainder to go to the State.
FRENCH FOREST FIRES. Paris, August 26. Great fires started in the communal forests at Pierrefau, near Toulon, and spread to Collobrieres, wh.ee much private and public property has been destoyed. Seventy square miles of country are affected. So far the losses are estimated at millions sterling.
