SEAMENSS DISPUTE.
, ; FURTHER EXHDENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, August 26. The Arbitration Court continued its hearing of the seamen's case. Evidence was given by W. H. D. Bennett, of the Kapiti Steamship Company, who adhered firmly co the employers’ wage proposals. He opposed the idea of payment by the day. He admitted that the company’s expenses for victualling and coal were little affected by reduced prices as yet.
