VISIT OF MCLAREN’S TEAM. ARRANGEMENTS OUTLINED. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council, it was announced that the programme of McLaren’s M.C.C. team, as framed by the Australian Board of Control, provides for the commencement of the tour by a match against Western Australia on November 3 and 4, followed by matches against South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. The team leaves Sydney for New Zealand on November 30, and will remain here till February 8. playing matches in the Australian States on the return journey. A sub-committee was appointed to draft a pi’ogramjne for the New Zealand tour, to submit to the various associations. ENGLISH COUNTY MATCHES. Received August 25, 5.5 p.m. London, Aug. 25. Yorkshire, 293 (Sutcliffe 81, Rhodes 106) beat Hampshire, 272 and 44. Kilner took six wickets for 13 runs, and Waddington four for 24. Lancashire. 349 for six wickets (declared), drew with Essex, 219 for seven. Middlesex, 456, drew with Kent, 293 and 88 for one wicket.
