NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. The second qualifying round for the New Plymouth Club’s championships (senior and junior) was played at Waiwakaiho on Saturday, in good golfing weather. Those who qualified are:

. The draw for the .first of the match play rounds is: Seniors.—Butcher v. Mackay; Robertshaw v. Wade; Johns v. Hasell; Smith v. Chong. Juniors.—Griffin v. Dalgleish; Stephenson v. Anderson; Hutchings v. Monteath; Avery v. Jackson. The trophy for the best net score was won by A. W. Griffin, 190—48—142. Next Saturday, the first tee will be reserved between 1 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. for the championship matches, which should start in the order of she draw (wherever possible), the first pair hitting off at 1 p.m. Seniors are to have preference over juniors.
