AUSTRALIAN BEEF IMPROVING. By Telegtaph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London. August 24. The Meat Trades*Journal says that the Australian, frozen beef now offering at Smithfield is excellent and the quality is really bright. Apparently the methods of handling have much improved. The National Federation of Retail Meat Traders cabled a nrotest against thq, proposal to leave kidneys in lambs, as ’it was likely to cause serious deterioration and consequent loss.
