TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
THE MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on Wednesday, Thursday, and yesterday. Present • Messrs. H. .1. Lowe (chairman), S?-Blake, C. J. Ryan, N. R. Cleland, and J. W. H. Martin The following transfers were approved Section 5, block HI., Ware, T. W? and N. B Collins to H. D. Collins; sections 14 and 15, block XVI., Egmont, F. M. Lane to M. H. Mills; section A, Hua Village. F. Saiway to F. ,G. Holmes; section 153, New Plymouth, B J Kelleher to N. Peterson; Pt. section 108, block IL. Ngaere, Trustees Henry Brown (deceased) to Tribe. Brown and Co., Ltd. ; lot 1 of sections 378 and 379, Stratford, E. Parish to A. J Adams; section 6, block XI., Cape, J. Black to H. Turchie ; sections 6 and 7, block XII., Mapara, Public Trustee in estate of C. E. Thomson to J. M. Thomson; section 119. block XII., Cape, E. A. Relph to M. P. Shale. Mr. F. E. Orbell was appointed: valuer in the matter of the renewal of the lease of sections 236 and part 237, Huirangt district. The report of the valuers in the matter of the renewal of the lease of sections 503 and C.. town of New Plymouth, was received. It was resolved to approve of an additional area being granted to C. T. Allingham, selector of section 8, block VII. Heao. It was resolved to recommend the application of the Ratapiko Sports Club for a portion of section 3S, Ratapiko settlement, for favorable consideration. It was resolved to remove the reservation from section 385., Huatoki settlement, and offer it at auction. Mr. A. Good was appointed valuer to assess a new rental for education reserve, section 68, Mangamingi suburban, Ngaere S.D. The transfer of section 10, block IX., Kapara, from G. G. Rusling to J. and G. R. Featherston, was left in the hands of the Commissioner. A ballot was held for four sections in Pa ora Aneti block, and the following were the successful applicants: Section 40, block V., Cape, E. J. Woodward; section 41. block V.. ' Cape, G. T. Watson; section 42, block V., : Cape. H. G. Short; section 43, block V.. Cape, : R. C. S. Gibson. Fifty one applicants under tho discharged ! Soldiers’ Settlment Act were considered and of these 4 applications for building grants were recommended and 1 refused; 19 applications for\ stock were recommended, one deferred and six refused; 6 applications for transfers were recommended and two refused.
