Sarazen and Ouimet defeated Kirkwood and Hagen three up and two over eighteen holes. Sarazen actually won the match unaided, his ball being one up on his opponents. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The third round of the ladies’ championship resulted as follows: Miss Gavin beat Mrs. Nicholson. 2 up and 1; Miss Thomson beat. Miss Rundle. 2 up and 1; Miss Winfield beat Miss Greig. 3 up and 2. Mrs. MacDlarmid beat Mrs. Hill. 3 up and 2. Next Tuesday there will be a bogie match. Players are to choose their own partners. The second qualifying round for the men’s club championsnips will be played at Walwakaiho to-day. Players should note that the old tee at the 13thi hole will be used, and that the swamp at the same hole, after the recent heavy rains, has filled lip very considerably.
