Received Aug. 24, 5.5 p.m. London, August 23. A meeting of the Australian Dried Fruits Association. decided to maintain the selling prices. LONDON TALLOW PRICES. Received Aug. 24, 5.5 p.m. London, August 23. At the tallow sales 1882 casks were offered and forty-four sold at about 6d decline. Quotations : Mutton 41s 6d and 375; beef 42s and 375. THE TEA MARKET. Calcutta. August 23. The tea sales have continued. So far this season’s export is 60,274,8291b5., of which 51,911,0001b5. have gone to the United Kingl- - and 872,0001b5. to the Australasian market. There are very strong prices for all classes excepting tippy, and broken pekoe is higher. Bidding is keen, and general wellmade leaf shows a further advance by half, to three-quarters of an anna.
