Agents of the Northern Union are canvassing among amateurs in Wales, where there Is much unemployment, and they secured 20 players in a few days, paying sums of £7OO to £lOOO. HIGH SCHOOL v. NELSON COLLEGE. Word was received yesterday that Nelson College, who were to have played New Plymouth High School yesterday, but were prevented from coming on account of an outbreak of measles, will be able to visit Taranaki and play the match on Monday, Sept. 25.
