TEACHING AGRICULTURE.
COLLEGE IN NORTH ISLAND. (By Wire.—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. From the annual report of the BoarJT* of Agriculture it would appear that the Government has already chosen Weraroa as the prospective site for the establishment of a North Island Agricultural College. The board last year investigated the general question of State farms, and in its report it refers to the central development farm at Weraroa as follows: “As it had already been decided by the Government that Levin was the most suitable centre for the establishment of an agricultural college when funds for that purpose were available (a decision endoreed by the board) it was deemed desirable that no change should be made in the present conduct of the farm.”
