Lord .Northcliffe was accorded an impressive funeral service in Westminster Abbey. General Cotter represented the Prince of Wales and Sir Edward Grigg the Prime Minister. The American and French Ambassadors and several members of the diplomatic corps were present. also Sir Jazqee Allen. There wae a great concourse inside and outside the Abbey to pay its last tribute to Lord Northcliffe. The long route to Marylebone cemetery was lined by people of all classes. standing bareheaded, while the coffin was followed by a seemingly endless stream of cars. A, huge car laden with floral tributes from the highest to. the humblest further demonstrated the wide esteem in which Lord Northcliffe was held.—Aus.-N.'Z. Cable Assn.
