The AH Blacks, on arrival at Wellington, state that the team was unaole to give a good account of itself in Australia. Four matches were played in one week, and the All Blacks were not fit aftei the first game. Numerous penalties for which they could see no reason perplexed- them, in the second test the total penalties against them being thirtynine compared to eight against their opponents. The referees' interpretation of the rules and the penalising of the wing forward were also bid f* ctors in their defeat.
