REVOLT IN ITALY.
TALK OF A REPUBLIC. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. ‘ Received Aug. 15, 1.15 a.m. London, August 14. The Rome correspondent of the Times reports that peace does not yet reign in Italy, though for the moment there may be only a battle of words. D’Annunzio has come into the limelight again. In a perfervid declaration he says: | “I feel I am Italy and that I am the legitimate expression oi the hopes, faith and will of all our people.” The legionaries replied hailing him as the first president of the Italian republic, declaring: “The road to Romfe is open; the legionaries are yours; give your orders.” Maasonni, the Fascisti leader, also talks of a march on Rome and a coup d’etat is a possibility.
