BIG INCREASE OF EXPORTS. THE IMPORTS GREATER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Aug. fr 3, 5.5 p.m. London, August 12. The Board of Trade returns for July show the value of the imports into the United Kingdom increased by £1,281,767 compared with the previous July. The exports increased by £17,246,227, while re-exports decreased by £1,044,918. The principal increase* in imports were: Raw cotton, £2,786.113; raw wool, £2,720,618. The principal increases in exports were: Coal. £4,019,889; cotton yarns and manufactures, '£7,870,821; woollen and worsted yarns and manufactures, £1,904,023. The principal decreases in imports were: Grain and flour. £2,031,817; coal, £4,885,450. The principal decrease in exports was machinery, £2,939,670. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
