BREACH OF PROMISE.
£2OO DAMAGES AWARDED. By Telegraph.—Pres? Association. Auckland. Last Night. Damages for £3OO for breach of promise were sought in the Supreme Court against David Robertson, a driver, who did not defend the action. It was stated that intimacy had occur-* red. plaintiff's future prospects of marriage being seriously prejudiced by her present condition. Mr. Justice Herdman •aid the claim was accentuated by the fact that misconduct took place under iromise rf marriage. The jury awarded £2OO damages.
