EVERYBODY’S. 'A really brilliant picture made by the "'iamouß .Hep-worth studios, who made “Alf’s Button,” is a screen version of Mrs. Alfred Sidgwick’s famous novel, -‘The Kinsman,” in •which the principal, and dual role is taken admirably ;by Henry Edwards, one of England’s most popular and talented, screen stars. Chrissie White deads adequate support, and the balance of the cast shows universal excellence. The story humorously deals with an imposture by a cockney ne-er-do-well, of the type of. ‘*The Better ’Ole” Bert, who steps into a supposedly dead cousin's shoes and claims his inheritance and his girl, by virtue of remarkable resemblance. Good entertainment is present in this exceUeht feature, which should prove a highly popular attraction. “The Kinsman” shows finally to-night. THE PEOPLE’S. ‘ TRACKED TO EARTH.” The story of a man who escaped the worst fate in the west —being hung as a horse thief—by a ready gift of talk is shown in “Tracked tp Earth,” in which Frank Mayo is starring at the People’s to-night. It is an entertaining bit of drama and comedy. The hero is really likable from the beginning. He goes out in the sand hills country after a group of robbers, «nd when he finds them is smart enough to steal their horses so they can’t get away. Mayo, the * fighting star, offers you the best character portrayal of his career. It is a picture with a surprise Wallop at the finish that will leave the onlooker gasping and amazed. The supporting films are two-reel comedy, “Table Steaks,” and “International News” film. The prices are advertised as usual.
THE EMPIRE, LAST NIGHT OF “THE AFFAIRS OF ANATOL.” “My lowest gown—iny highest heels, Marie! If there’s room for husbands on the Great White Way there’s toom for wives.” It was the exultant cry of Anatol's wife. Convention no longer bound her. and she realised it gladly, The Great Pleasure Path was open before her and she’d enjoy herself. “Anatol,” she called, “you have proved your worthlessness, and I’ll prove mine. That shimmering silk gown/ Marie, and be careful that the lingerie is enticing. Don't fail to see “The Affairs of Anatol,” showing for the last time at the Empire to-night.
