ELTHAM.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A special meeting of the Eltham Croquet Club was held on Monday night. Present: Mrs. Carman (president), Lady Carncross, Mesdames Boyd, Tiplady, Manley, Ha-wken, H. Harrison, McKay, Ross, J. L. Campbell, Judd, Fountaine, lE. E. Carter, C. H. White, C. B. Martin. The object of the meeting was to consider the advisability of holding a dance in the near future for the purpose of raising funds for improvements to the grounds and buildings, and after some discussion it was unanimously decided that a dance be held. The annual meeting of the club takes place in September. It is estimated that the school funds will be augmented by approximately £5O as a result of the recent school concert.
