THE DAVIS CUP.
PREPARING FOR SEMI-FINALS. AUSTRALIA AND FRANCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assd.—Copyright. Received Aug. 8, 5.5 p.m. London, August 7. A Boston message states tha£ the French and Australian tennis teams have begun practice on the courts at the Longwood Stricken Club, where the will be played. The Australians appear to be in fine form. O'Hara Wood’s arm is not expected to give him any trouble, though it is understood he has been suffering from neuritis since he left England. It is expected the. French team will be handicapped because of- their unfamiliarity with grass courts, most of their playing in the past having been done on clay courts. The matching of the respective players has not yet been made. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
