ENCOURAGING LAWLESSNESS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, August 4. James Moye pleaded guilty in the Court to-day to distributing a document en-eouraging lawlessness. The defendant, a waterside worker, is a member of the local Communist Club. He had. served sentences for breaches of military discipline. Moye was sentenced to one month’s hard labor. FINE FOR SLY GROG SELLING. Invercargill. AUgust 4. At the Police Court John Pagan, a taxi driver, was fined £5O for sly grog selling. Defendant’s method was to keep liquor in his taxi, selling it at £1 ■per bottle. The police stated that at the house where liquor was supplied, several girls and young men stayed as married couples on Saturday and Sunday.
