ARTERIAL ROADS.
POLICY DECIDED ON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, East Night. In the House to-day the Minister of Public Works said a memorandum on. the main roads position had been drafted since the conference with representatives of local bodies, and he thought this memorandum marked a real forward effort to get. at any rate, a basis for legislation oh the subject of the construction and maintenance of arterial roads.
