The period under review has been one of general depression and financial stringency, which has considerably reduced totallsator Investments, a decrease of £6003 being registered at our meeting. In view of these adverse factors, and the maintenance of stake-money at the previous figure, the results achieved are satisfactory. Our meeting, held last Easter Monday, maintained Its popularity and high standard of racing. Record entries and acceptances were received, and the gate receipts substantially increased. Tour committee regret that the Racing Commision’s report was not adopted bj- Parliament. This deprives us of our extra totalisator permit. We trust the question of additional totallsator permits will be again reviewed by Parliament, and brought to a successful issue. Your committee take this opportunity of expressing thanks to the paid and honorary staff for their services during the j-ear. dominations for the offices of president and vice-president not being in excess of the offices to be filled, I hereby declare the following duly elected, viz. : President, Mr. B. McCarthy ; vice-president, Mr. E. A. Washer.
