EDUCATION BOARD RESULTS OF ELECTION TWO NEW MEMBERS. The election of a member for each of the north and central wards of the Taranaki Education Board has resulted in the return of two new members, Messrs. Hector Dempsey and Fredk. Herbert Sims, who defeated the retiring members. Messrs. Frank Hoskin and Harold Trimble. Detailed results are:—North Ward: Hector Dempsey 126, Frank Hoskin SO, informal 2. Central Ward: Frederick Herbert Sims 154, Harold Trimble 10G, informal 3. Messrs. H. J. lEaves (south ward) and S. G. Smith, M.P. (urban area) were reelected unopposed. Of the new members Mr. Dempsey is well-known, as for many years he was headmaster of the Central School, New Plymouth, and later he was an inspector under the Education Board. He has always taken a keen interest in matters educational. Mr. Sims is resident in the Ohura district, where he has heen prominent in school committees and other bodies in the district.
