THE PRINCIPLE AFFIRMED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A meeting of the Municipal Association of New Zealand to-day approved the principle of main highways legislation being placed on the statute book, and endorsed the resolution of the last conference that local bodies should be allowed to take a portion of the motor taxation to maintain the highways passing within their own boundaries.
