HUNTING.

MEET AT WAIHI. The North Taranaki Hunt had another very successful meet yesterday, when they were the guests of Mr. Mabin and his neighbors at Waihi. A couple of kills were made, and as the fences and country were in splendid order the followers enjoyed some keen sport. As was the case last week, a number of horses were out qualifying for the club’s forthcoming steeplechases, while there were also numerous spectators. The master (Mr. A. H. Halcombe) returned thanks on behalf of the hunt to Mr. Mabin and his friends, and a number remained behind as Mr. Mabin’s guests at a very pleasant dance in the evening.
