THE STOCK MARKET, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Prices at Westfield to-day were: Beef.—Larger yarding and prices firm throughout at last week’s rates. Extra-choice ox to 26s per 100 lb, choice and prime 20s to 245, plain and unfinished 16s to 19s; young cow and heifer beef 18s to 22s per 100 lb; other 13s to 16s per 100 lb. Calves.—Good yarding and prices showed an advance over last week. Runners £2 10s io £4; heavy vealers £2 15s to £3 12s, medium vealers £2 to £2 18s; others 15s to 30s.

Sheep.—Smaller yarding and last week’s prices maintained. Extra-heavy wethers 30s u 355, good wethers 27s to 295, medium wethers 25s to 275, others 20s to 245; best ewes 20s to 235, good ewes 18s to 20s. others 14s to 17s.

Pigs.—Average yarding and prices on a par with late rates. Heavy baconers £3 10s to £4 2s, medium baconers £3 to £3 10s. light £2 5s to £3; porkers—best £2 10s to £2 18s. good £1 15s to £2 ss, stores Ils to 30s. Lambs.—Average yarding and prices not quite so good as last week. Best hoggets up to 28s, good 22s to 255, others 10s to 28s; unfinished 13s to 16s. LONDON MARKETS. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile (ord.) £74. The exchange on Berlin is 2925 marks. At the wool sales, there was a poor selection of merinos, but strong competition was maintained, and prices continue to harden. Best merinos were fully 5 per cent, above the opening prices, and crossbreds were par to 5 per cent, above. Received Aug. 2, 9.5 p.m. London, Aug. 1.
