THE ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report of the Tikorangi Co-op-erative Dairy Factory Company states: “The past season has been most disappointing as regards prices, but, fortunately, the greatly increased production, amounting to over 4G per cent, on last year’s figures, will, to a certain extent, (minimise the loss due to the serious fall in the value of your produce. Alter paying £144 Ils in interest on share capital and writing off the sum of £72 as depreciation, the working account shows a credit balance of £6510 8s 9d. which your directors' propose to utilise as follows: £5O to be placed to reserve, and a further payment of 4d per lb. on all fat delivered during the months of September to April inclusive. also 2d per lb. on fat delivered in May. When these payments, amounting to £6460 8s 9d arc made, cream suppliers will have received 2s O’Ad per lb. for July-August fat; Is 4d for September to April inclusive; Is 5%d for May: ami Is BV4d for June, whilst milk suppliers will have received similar payments minus the farthing. In addition to these advances milk suppliers have also received approximately Id per lb. on fat on account of casein, and it Is expected that the final returns will allow a payment of another to easein suppliers. The retiring directors are Messrs. J. Whitehead and C. W. Sarten, both of whom are eligible for "re-election.” The company’s operations are shown in the following statistics: Milk received. 5.586,039 lbs. ; creani received. 470.0141b5. ; butter made, 491,9271b5. : fat from milk. 235.8*-21bs. ; fat from cream, 177.291ib5, ; total fat, H3,1431b5.; over KUC, 19 per cent.
