PARLIAMENT.
HOUSE RESUMES TO-DAY. BUSINESS FOR THE WEEK. DEBATE ON LICENSING. (By Wire—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. The House of Representatives will meet to-morrow afternoon. Minor Government Bills will be the chief business of the day. The Government has some more Bills ready for presentation, and they may make their appearance in the House. The discussion on the report of the special committee on licensing legislation will be commenced on Wednesday, and it may extend into Thursday. One of the Proportional Representation Bills has got a place on the Order Paper for Thursday. The Bills dealing with electoral reform have not the slightest chance of passing, but they are attracting some interest. The Minister of Customs will move the second reading of the Tariff Agreement (New Zealand and Australia) Ratification Bill on Thursday, probably in the evening. The Financial Statement is well advanced, but it certainly will not make its appearance in the House this week.
