How citeumstantial evidence supports the wife’s claim frees her from punishment, eince “she states that she fired the shot to protect her honor, and saves her husband makes an interesting and thrilling story. THE PEOPLE’S. “A PROPHET'S PARADISE.” A brilliant, varied and interesting feature picture is the new Selznick production. “The Prophet’s Paradise,” starring (Eugene O’Brien, shown on SaturI day at the People’s. The photoplay is a spiendid one in every respect and detail, while the story is intensely dramatic . and full of romance. Eugene O’Brien is first seen as a gentleman travelling in the East, who, lured to a secret slave market, discovers that a beautiful girl is ‘.being auctioned. In order to save her from her captors he outbids the others, but in trying to get away many perils arise. The setting of the story is in Constantinople, the scenes of the famous capital being conducted with pomp, while the film itself is lavishly produced. The final screening is announced for to-night. Tomorrow Tom Mix will star in another of his popular Western specials, “A Rough Diamond.”
