DAILY NEWS AGENCY. Advertisements and items of news for publication in the Taranaki Daily News should be left at the office of' otir local representatatlve, Mr. W. H. Humphrey, Broadway, Stratford. Orders for papers may also be left with him. July 29. Friends will regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Jeavons, the wife pf Mr. Fred Jeavons, of Whangapiomona. Mrs. Jeavons, who was 37 years of age, has been in ill healtli for some time. She was a sister of Mt. H. Burmister, senr., of Stratford, and leaves a husband and two children, a boy and girl, aged 13 and 9 respectively. Teams from the West End School, New Plymouth, visited Stratford on Saturday and played friendly games of football and hockey against teams from the local sfchool. Stratford proved too good for the West lEnd boys at football, winning by 45 points to nil. At hockey, however, the West End girl© reversed the position, defeating Stratford by 4 goals to nil. The visitors, who mustered about 60, were hospitably entertained to morning tea and luncheon by the local children, and left for home by the evening train after having spent an enjoyable day.
