SiSBORNE MEETING. CONCI.UDINC RESULTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne,- July 29. The Gisborne Club’s steeplechase meeting concluded to-day. Tin? weather was dull and the going good. The totalisator handled £15,357, compared with £17,912 on the second daj’ last year, the total for the meeting being .£27,438, as compared with £33,896 last year—a decrease of £6458. Results: GISBORNE HURDLES.—Wamba (A. Tricklebank) 1, Whanaka 2, Demagogue 3. AU started. Won by a head; lengths between second and third. Time, 3 mln. MAIDEN HACK.—Joyride (S. Bagby) 1, Mark Ovjjr 2. Prowler 3. Also started: Reretoa. Morgen, Prince Imperial, Sonny Boy. Heatherite, Mountain Gun, Birka, Garlon. Won by a length and a half, two lengths between second and third. Time, 1 min. 2 2-5 see. WAIKANAE HANDICAP. —Heathersprig (W. Bell) and Scotch Mixture (A. J. McFlynn), a dead heat, 1; Verbosity 3. SECOND HACK FLAT.—Joyride (R. S. Bagby) 1, Golden Light 2, Chaplin 3. All started. Won by two lengths, four lengths separating second and third. Time, 1 min. 16 sec. TURANGANUI STEEPLES. Ehiopian (Bowden) 1, Nowra 2, Te Awanui.3. Also started: Reparoa, Aurore, Mayc Id. Mayfield and Reparoa fell; Aurore dislodged his rider. Won by a neck, the third horse 100 yards away. Time, 4 min. 10 sec. FAREWELL HANDICAP.—GoIden Light (A. G. Dixon) 1, Jovial 2, Persian King 3. Also started: Hookah, Barrier, Orawia, Pitch, Bonny Doreen, Cantablle, Lord Muskerry, Ruruwai. Tireless, Westerner. Won by half a length, the third horse a neck away Time, 1 min. 16 2-5 sec.
