GOLF.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. A flag match, for both senior and junior players, was held at the Walwakaiho links on Saturday. The weather was very windy, and altogether unsuitable for golfing. A. Smith was the best of the senior players. He got within a yard of the hole at. the seventeenth green. Of the juniors, G. Jackson, with 98—19 —79, was the best, and won after an exciting finish, getting to the eighteenth fairway just short of the stones.
