The- C. and D. liner Port Chalmers, having loaded her Homeward shipment of produce, sailed at 5.10 p.m. yesterday for the Wanganui roadstead. KAITUNA IN PORT. The Kaituna, from Newcastle and Sydney via Nelson and Picton, anchored off New Plymouth at 6 a.m. yesterday and came alongside at 6.30 p.'m. after the departure of the Katoa. The vessel has timber and sleepers for the Public Works Department and a small quantity of general cargo. She will be in port two or three days. PIAKO TO-MORROW. Latest advice indicates that the liner Plako will arrive here early to-morrow morning l from the Wanganui roadstead. She will take 15,000 freight carcases of frozen meat froip this port. KATO A FOR WELLINGTON. The Katoa discharged her cement cargo and loaded a small consignment of cheese for transhipment at Wellington, for which port she sailed at 6 o’clock last evening. RARAWA TO-DAY. Tlie Rarawa, with passengers and general cargo, is due from Onehunga at 5.30 this morning. She sails on the return trip at 8.30 this evening. ARAWA AT WELLINGTON. j A Wellington telegram says: The indications are that the fire on the Arawa. which j arrived in Wellington yesterday morning from Napier, is out. The wool is being discharged from No. 3 upper hold. The location of the ] fire has not been definitely ascertained, as j the lower hold has not yet been opened on j account of the extinguishing gases. Messrs. I Newton King, Ltd. (the New Plymouth agents i for the S.S. and A. Line) state that the ! Arawa will now probably sail for London about August 7. WARNING TO MARINERS. The Collector of Customs (Mr. R. B. D. Eyre) has received the following telegram: "Advise masters look out for cable buoy moored middle Cook Strait. Karori rock light bearing 98 true. 10miles.” OVERSEA MOVEMENTS. Gravesend.
