A Bill is being introduced in the Legislative Council by Mr. Disney (Labor) which provides that no woman shall, by reason only of sex or marriage, be disqualified from being a candidate for any election, whether for council or assembly, or from being elected a member of council or assembly, or sitting or voting therein if elected.
