PROPOSED NEW LAW. APPLICABLE TO GIRLS. London, July TB. Mr. MacQuisten, K.C., has given notice to move in committee in the House of Commons a new clause in the Criminal Law Amendment Bill enactfng that every female aged sixti n or under shall wear her hair either loose or plaited, but hanging down her back. Offenders wearing their hair up shall be liable to penalties and, if convicted three times, shall be confined, in a Borstal institution until sixteen.
