TAUPO EARTHQUAKES.

ANOTHER SERIOUS SHOCK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Rotorua. July 18. Yesterday at 3.48 p.m. a shake began in the* Taupo district and continued for eight minutes with varying intensity. The shake was more severe at Taupo and Wairakei than at Mokai or Oruanui. At Taupo a large mirror in the hotel was thrown down, and the chimney cracked. A fall of earth near the Huka Falls temporarily impeded the main road. The shock was not felt at Rotorua.
